A lot of wonderful people were able to make it to our Hops Field Day event that Saturday, around 75 people actually. Attendees got a tour of the farm and hop yard, an in depth look at hop growth in North Dakota with guest speaker Kyla Splichal, and even an impromptu question and answer session with Fargo Brewing Company's President and Head Brewer, Chris Anderson. Fargo Brewing Co. also offered up cans of their seasonal brews Iron Horse, Wind Swept, and O'fest to be enjoyed with our brat barbeque.
If you were able to come to the event you got to see that our hop cones (the part that grows from the bud and goes into the beer) are fairly close to being ready to harvest. These hops will go out to local breweries and in a bit, you'll be able to enjoy the aroma and/or bitterness of local hops. Follow us on Facebook to hear about where to find beers brewed with hops grown right on this farm!
This was our very first event at the farm and we are very thankful for everyone's excitement and support. Thanks again to Fargo Brewing Co., Kyla Splichal, and CATERING for helping us put on this event. We look forward to hosting more events and seeing you all again or for the first time!
